At Drake University in Des Moines, on October 2, 2025, Professor Zilka Spahić Šiljak delivered a lecture titled “Two Idealized Cosmologies of Gender Relations.” The host of the event was Professor Timothy Knepper, after which an interactive seminar was held with a group of students from the Department of Philosophy of Religion.

The lecture examined various philosophical and theological models of gender relations, their influence on contemporary social practices, and the ways in which idealized cosmologies shape understandings of gender, power, and ethical responsibilities. During the seminar, students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the application of these concepts within the context of global religious traditions.
As part of the visit, steps were agreed upon to establish collaboration between the TPO Foundation and Drake University, as well as the possibility of connecting with the university’s partner institutions in China, with whom they maintain close cooperation. This encounter opens new opportunities for international academic exchange and the strengthening of partnerships in the fields of philosophy of religion, gender studies, and intercultural dialogue.
