SOCRATES CAFES SARAJEVO - INTERCULTURALITY

Second in a row Socrates coffee in the academic 2021/2022. year, was held on Thursday, December 02, 2021. at the International Burch University, and under the auspices of the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo. Another incredibly dynamic and interesting dialogue, this time brought together male and female students, but also several professors for the University, who discussed the topic of interculturality. The cafe facilitated assist. Adem Olovčić, and the migrant crisis and migrants in general from the perspective of interculturality were discussed.

Are migrants a threat to our culture ?; How can we manage the crisis in a way that achieves cultural benefits, rather than segregation and exclusivity ?, and how to accept differences and nurture them, while preserving our own culture and tradition, are questions that cafe participants questioned, thus creating great dynamics in the Socratic spirit. Due to the polyvalence of the topic, the discussion opened various questions, and the participants of the cafe finally shared their satisfaction with participating in the cafe, expecting the new Socrates cafe, which is planned for December 9, 2021. years. The topic he will question this time is Gender-Based Violence, and the facilitator of the cafe will be prof. Azra Ahmić, associate of the TPO Foundation and professor at Richmond Park Education. The special feature of the next cafe is the theme, which coincides with the campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence" which lasts from November 25 to December 10.
