THIRD CREATIVE WORKSHOP YOUTH AND ACTIVISM

Strengthening competences in young people through critical thinking, non-violence and civic activism, this was the goal of another creative workshop called Activism and youth (ICDE), organized by TPO Foundation on April 10, in the Gymnasium Dobrinja with students of first to fourth grade. At the workshop, we questioned our responsibilities and roles in society and how engaged art affects the community and its positive changes. We also talked about the different forms of bullying, but also about civic activism as an adequate method of confrontation and violence prevention. With the publication of comics Nira, Nira's challenges and Everything We (do not) want to know, we learned about courage and initiative for change in society. Aware of the difficulties that the society faces every day, we concluded that we should resist passive and inert society that allows violent behavior and violation of human rights by keeping silent.
We concluded that we need to be persistent in your goals, courageous and dignified, raise your voice, awaken our humanity, move the people around us and change society and thus do not allow injustice and lawlessness.
Young actors, Ivana Vojinovic and Adis Omerovic, once again showed their acting skills through sketches and offered one more reason to talk to these young people. TPO team continues visiting schools, next plan is the visit to the elementary school Zahid Barucija in Vogosca when we meet with young students of eighth and ninth grade.
